Question by Mark N: What is the difference between a battery and an acumulator?
I would like to know with scientific base what is the difference between the two. I know that a battery cannot be recharged (the kind we use for our portable radios and flashlight that you have to throw away after depleted), and a accumulator can be recharged (like a car “battery” – wrongly named?).

A galvanic cell is an electrochemical cell that stores energy and makes it available in electrical form.
A battery is a string of two o more celle in series.
An accumulator is an apparatus by means of which energy can be stored . It is a RECHARGEABLE battery

Question by Ender: Is it hypocritical for someone to be “pro electric car” and “anti nuclear energy”???
Many “environmentalists” think that having an electric car is “going green” and “eco friendly”, however over 50% of America’s electricity comes from burning coal (which is NOT eco friendly). The more electric cars on the road, the more coal we burn, and the more crap we put into the air.
Nuclear energy, however, emits only water. It’s waste can safely be stored for hundreds of years at a time.
France uses 70% nuclear energy and we already use it to power many ships in the Navy.
So is anyone VERY pro electric car as well as anti nuclear energy and can you explain your position logically???
